On Saturday we packed all of our Stitch Party stuff into Nora's Subaru Impreza and drove downtown to the Convention Center for our very first time as vendors at Handmade Arcade! And LET. ME. TELL. YOU. it was AMAZING. Ok so first of all, we were there before 8am, and didn't leave until 8pm. Talk about a long day, amirite? (We got tacos and margaritas afterward so it was great). But it was so amazing to see people coming to our booth and saying "I follow you on instagram and came here just for your yarn!" Nora and I felt so relieved and excited and all the feels.
Another amazing thing, people thought the prices were fair, which we really aim for. We know how expensive starting a new hobby can be, and we just want to create new knitters all over the place - ones who feel excited and supported! We had 6 kits - 3 for Shindig (bulky) and 3 for Bash (worsted). *You can find them all under our "Help with Kits" tab above!* We sold almost an equal amount of both, and people seemed to like the variety of patterns as well. Many bought them as gifts, but even more people bought them for themselves, which as you all know, Nora and I are all about. TREAT YO'SELF with some nice yarn!
If you guys saw us at Handmade Arcade and really liked our booth, let us know! And also let us know about anything we can improve upon! This was our first big show, and while most things went very smoothly, there's always room for improvement!
